{"id":243,"date":"2017-11-16T20:46:28","date_gmt":"2017-11-16T20:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atelierelms.com\/research\/?page_id=243"},"modified":"2020-08-07T16:48:42","modified_gmt":"2020-08-07T16:48:42","slug":"phd-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/atelierelms.com\/research\/phd-project\/","title":{"rendered":"PhD project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ex2\">\n<p><strong>The articulation of digital practices within the design activity of graphic designer students: the case of the Higher Diploma of Applied Arts, speciality design \u2013 option graphic design in France<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Summary:<br \/>\nWhen considering the teaching-learning design situation of graphic design students (GDS) and the impact of computer-aided design (CAD) on their design activity, it requires understanding the mechanisms that characterize design activity when it is instrumented by digital tools. Several questions can be put forward on this subject: Is the design activity the same when it is instrumented with a digital tool? Does CAD encourage creative activity in GDS? Does it help reduce incertitude that is specific to design activity? Does it help to better understand space and other design elements?<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this research project is to explore the question of whether and how CAD influences the construction (modification and evolution) of design knowledge, design skills and creative ability of GDS. The main operational objectives of this research project are: to define a set of variables to be used in the analysis of the teaching-learning situation; identify and describe the factors\/elements that result from the use of digital tools in the teaching-learning situation in graphic design; draw a conclusion in response to the question: what role does the digital tool play in the construction of design knowledge, design skills, and creative ability in design activity of students in graphic design?<\/p>\n<p>The theory of conceptual fields is considered as a point of entry as it provides a theoretical framework for research on complex cognitive activities and problem-solving activity. Indeed, the teaching-learning situation in graphic design is considered as a complex of interactions, a set of situations and a set of concepts, that is, a conceptual field.<\/p>\n<p>Keywords: <span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><em>Design Education. Social Constructivism.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>L&#8217;articulation des pratiques num\u00e9riques au sein de l&#8217;activit\u00e9 de conception des \u00e9tudiants graphistes : le cas du Dipl\u00f4me sup\u00e9rieur des arts appliqu\u00e9, sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 design \u2013 mention graphisme<\/b><\/p>\n<p>R\u00e9sum\u00e9&nbsp;:<br \/>\nLorsqu\u2019on consid\u00e8re la situation d\u2019enseignement-apprentissage en conception des \u00e9tudiants en design graphique (EDG) et l\u2019impact de la conception assist\u00e9e par ordinateur (CAO) sur leur activit\u00e9, cela impose d\u2019\u00e9tudier les m\u00e9canismes qui caract\u00e9risent l\u2019activit\u00e9 de conception quand elle est instrument\u00e9e par des outils num\u00e9riques. Plusieurs questions peuvent \u00eatre avanc\u00e9es \u00e0 ce sujet : L\u2019activit\u00e9 de conception est-elle la m\u00eame lorsqu\u2019elle est instrument\u00e9e avec un outil num\u00e9rique ? La CAO encourage-t-elle l\u2019activit\u00e9 cr\u00e9ative chez les EDG ? Aide-t-elle \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l\u2019incertitude propre \u00e0 l\u2019activit\u00e9 de conception ? Aide-t-elle \u00e0 mieux comprendre l\u2019agencement des \u00e9l\u00e9ments dans l\u2019espace ?<\/p>\n<p>Ce projet de recherche vise \u00e0 explorer la question de savoir si et comment la CAO influe sur la construction (modification et \u00e9volution) des connaissances de conception, des comp\u00e9tences de conception et sur la capacit\u00e9 cr\u00e9ative des \u00e9tudiants en design graphique. Les principaux objectifs op\u00e9rationnels sont : d\u00e9finir un ensemble de variables \u00e0 utiliser dans l\u2019analyse de la situation d\u2019enseignement-apprentissage ; identifier et d\u00e9crire les facteurs\/\u00e9l\u00e9ments qui r\u00e9sultent de l\u2019utilisation des outils num\u00e9riques dans la situation d\u2019enseignement-apprentissage en design graphique ; conclure sur le r\u00f4le qu\u2019a l\u2019outil num\u00e9rique dans la construction de connaissances, de comp\u00e9tences de conception, et sur la capacit\u00e9 cr\u00e9ative des \u00e9tudiants en design graphique.<\/p>\n<p>La th\u00e9orie des champs conceptuels est envisag\u00e9e comme point d\u2019entr\u00e9e. Elle a l\u2019avantage de fournir un cadre th\u00e9orique pour la recherche sur les activit\u00e9s complexes et sur l\u2019activit\u00e9 de r\u00e9solution de probl\u00e8me.
